Allison Cordner Registered Counselling Supervisor and Clinical Counsellor, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner

Psychotherapist | Somatic Experiencing Practitioner | Creative Arts Specialist

As a therapist with a deep-rooted background in the performing and visual arts, I understand the unique pressures, rhythms, and emotional demands of a life in show business. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent years immersed in the creative world—on stage, behind the scenes, and within the industry’s ever-changing landscape. I know firsthand the exhilaration of performance, the weight of expectations, the strain of constant travel, and the silent battles that can come with a life dedicated to art.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, I specialize in Somatic Experiencing® (SE), a body-based approach to healing trauma, stress, and nervous system dysregulation. Having trained directly with Dr. Peter Levine, the founder of SE, I integrate this powerful modality to help performers, musicians, roadies, and creative professionals navigate the impact of high-pressure environments, performance anxiety, creative blocks, and the effects of chronic stress or past trauma. By working with both the mind and body, we can release tension stored in the nervous system, restore resilience, and reconnect you to your creative flow.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, stage fright, burnout, substance use, identity struggles, or career transitions, my approach is nonjudgmental, collaborative, and tailored to your unique experiences. If you’ve ever felt like traditional therapy didn’t quite fit your world, I’m here to offer something different: therapy that understands the artist’s life—grounded in clinical expertise, lived experience in the arts, and a deep respect for the creative spirit.

Let’s work together to help you find balance, resilience, and creative fulfillment.
